DIX ZN

The tongues are manufactured from Swedish steel at a strength of 2000 N/mm2 with a tolerance of T3, and they are ground with an accuracy within -20 cents of the base tone.  These tongues are manually riveted onto reed plates made of original zinc material which has the same characteristics as the original material used in the DIX GERA firm.  The reed plates are manufactured using electro-erosive technology to an accuracy within the hundredths of a millimeter.  The surface of the plates is finely ground to achieve exact flatness.  The advantage of these reeds is that they match the original sound and appearance of reeds produced before the Second World War.
